Package Itenary
Day 1 - Arrival at Guwahati
- Arrive at Guwahati Airport.
- From the airport, you will be traveling to Shillong.
- The local representative will meet you & will provide a transfer to the hotel.
- You will come across the Umiam Lake (Borapani) while traveling from Guwahati to Shillong, capturing its mesmerizing beauty it has to offer, we shall move forward.
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Overnight stay in a hotel at Shillong.
Day 2 - Shillong - Cherrapunjee via Laitlum Canyon
- Enjoy a lip-smacking breakfast in the morning.
- Get transferred to Cherrapunjee.
- On the way, visit the breath-taking Laitlum Canyon (only if time permits), MawkdokDympepViewPoint, Wei Sawdong Falls.
- After this, grasp a stunning view of Nohkalikai falls, the Garden of caves, Arwah Caves for a distinct experience and Seven Sisters’ Falls if time permits.
- Overnight stay at Cherapunjee.
Day 3 - Cherrapunjee - Nongriat Trek-Cherrapunjee
- After breakfast at 7 am, proceed to Tyrna village.
- Start the trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge (Nongriat) with the local guide.
- Later on, you can also extend your hike to Rainbow Falls at an extra cost of Rs 1500.
- Climb up the 3500 steps to end the hike at the same village by evening.
- Overnight at Cherrapunjee
Day 4 - Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong - Shnongpdeng/Dawki
- Enjoy a mouth-watering breakfast in the morning.
- Drive to Mawlynnong (110 km/ 02 ½ hrs drive), which is the cleanest village in Asia.
- Later, trek to visit the Single Decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai village.
- Visit Balancing Rock post this to Dawki where you can do boating in crystal clear waters of Umngot river.
- Overnight at Shnongpdeng/Dawki.
Day 5 - Shnongpdeng/Dawki - Jowai - Shillong
- Wake up to see the beauty of East Khasi Hills, and have Breakfast.
- You can do multiple adventure activities(on your own) like Kayaking, Boating, Zip lining, Cliff Jumping, etc over here.
- Start for Jowai to visit India's most magical waterfall: Krang Suri Waterfalls.
- Get drenched and swim in the natural pools.
- Travel back to Shillong after witnessing this attractive place.
- Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 6 - End Of The Trip
- After breakfast, drop at Guwahati Airport / Railway station as per the timings.
- Complimentary visit to Kamakhya Temple, if time permits.
- Have a great journey towards your hometown.

- Hotel Specifications:- Standard Room - A Standard hotel room means a compact accommodation with basic amenities such as queen sized bed, proper lighting, toilet with running water, ventilation and door locking system with proper cleanliness & hygiene | Deluxe Room - A Deluxe hotel room generally has a view (city, mountains, river, etc) which is subject to availability. The room has all the facilities of a standard room with additional amenities like a slightly larger area, television, telephone, bath towels. | Super Deluxe Room - A Super Deluxe room is spacious and offers a great view and has a king-sized bed. Along with the facilities of a deluxe room, it also has a sofa, chair, table.
- Airfare to the starting point of your trip and back is not included in the cost.
- The traveller will have to take care of their international airfare, visa fees, airport tax or any kind of insurance cover
- Items of personal nature like drinks, laundry, telephone calls, tips, camera fees etc or any other item not specifically mentioned above as ‘INCLUDED’ is to be considered an exclusion of the deal.
- Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like change in flight and train schedule; cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomenon, etc. will not be accommodated in the cost.
- No bill will be reimbursed against any missed service/facility.
- Do not consume alcohol or any other intoxicants during the tour.
- The vehicle for sightseeing is available on an itinerary basis only, and will not be on disposal.
- Price will vary according to the no. of people.
- The tour takes place through an Eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites.
- Maa Tara Travels reserves the right to rearrange or change the itinerary for any reasons that are beyond control like Natural calamity, weather conditions, road block, vvip interference, political manifestation etc.
- By default, We arrange a standard room in the category that travellers books. In case a traveller prefers an upper category room or a suite, they are requested to inform before booking the package.
- As per North East guidelines, there are restrictions in baggage. Vehicles are not allowed to put luggage in carrier. Carry maximum one luggage per person. Kindly inform the operator prior in case of more luggage.
- Double Decker Root Bridge is accessible only through Nogriat Trek which is one-way more than 3000 steps. It is a steep trek which gets slippery and difficult in rains. Children younger than 10 years and Adults elders than 50 years are not recommended to do this trek.
- Pick up and drop is between a fixed time window. Any delay due to personal or unforeseen circumstances including flight reschedules will incur an extra cost and has to be communicated at the earliest. Sightseeing missed due to delayed flight/train/bus is non-refundable.
- Maa Tara Travels may do their best to provide an accommodation out of the accommodation list shared with the guest however a *similar hotel in the category booked by the traveller may also be assigned pertaining to various reasons like unavailability, Maintenance, Security, feedback from multiple guests & extenuating circumstances like an accident at a hotel or intervention of local authorities, bad weather, Political/social disturbances, roadblocks, VVIP movements & state transport rule prohibition. We will inform you about the change & reasons behind it in advance.
- Kaziranga National Park offers elephant and jeep safari in 4 zones. Unless specified by traveller before booking, safari tickets will be booked in any available zone. Post booking, these tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- In case you are not holding Indian Passport, please inform before booking as relevant permits have to be applied which brings a change in package cost.
- Child age below 8 years are not advised to book this tour.
