Duarsini is a charming little village located in the Purulia district, nestled amidst the breathtaking Sal, Segun, Piyal and Palash forests. The village is a nature lover's paradise, situated just 13 kms from Bandwan town. The spectacular rolling hills and the lush greenery of the Dalma Hills that surround the village make it an enchanting destination.

The Dalma Forest, which is in close proximity to Duarsini, is home to a plethora of wildlife such as bears, wolves, boars, and a wide variety of bird species, some of which may not be known to many. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a herd of migrating elephants emerging from the forest into Duarsini.

Duarsini is the perfect escape from the bustle of city life, allowing you to immerse yourself in the tranquillity of nature. Several tribal villages, including the Santhals, Shabaradh, Kheriya, and Munda tribes, are scattered throughout the area, adding to the village's cultural diversity.

The Forest Department has established a tourist lodge and an eco-tourism center in Duarsini, which features three comfortable cottages resembling traditional tribal cottages. These cottages provide visitors with a unique opportunity to experience the local lifestyle while enjoying the beauty of the village.
